Situated in the village of Wettolsheim, at the foot of the hills beneath the Vosges mountains, our 17 hectares of vines lie south of Colmar and Turckheim and produce an average of 100,000 bottles and around twenty different cuvées every year.
Domaine Barmès-Buecher grows a number of Alsatian grape varieties and its production is split over 7 different terroirs, 3 of which are classified as Grand Cru.
The Domaine’s range of gastronomic wines will appeal to all palates and are well-suited to a variety of drinking occasions. They will take you on a tasting journey through the wines of Alsace, where refinement goes hand in glove with a respect for the environment and the terroir, and where simplicity and elegance come together, in the quest for the perfect balance.
Our vineyards are made up of a patchwork of parcels spanning 5 communes.
The parcels vary considerably in age and have a high planting density, ranging from young vines planted at 7,000 to 7,500 vines per hectare, to more tightly planted 50-60 year old vines on the hillsides.
Our vineyards have a very varied geology and diverse topography with up to 50% gradient slopes.
