Winemaker François Barmès, is to be found at Wettolsheim in the Alsace wine region between Colmar and Eguisheim. He makes exceptional wines of great character, entirely bio-dynamically.
In charge of the estate since 1985, and bio-dynamic winemakers, Genevieve and Francois are in a permanent quest for quality, while totally respecting the originality and character of their varied terroirs.
Their terroirs:
Herrenweg, Leimenthal, Rosenberg, Clos Sand, Pfleck, and the Grands Crus Hengst, Steingrübler and Pfersigberg are all vinified separately in vats each bearing these names.
Their wines:
The wines are expressive of their vineyards, elegant, complex, full of fruit and character and with great aromatic finesse. They have been mentioned many times in trade magazines, both from France and abroad.
50% of the production is exported to Germany, Switzerland, England, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Ukrain and the USA, Japan & Canada.
